Community Involvement

Community Involvement

Ed Graziani believes that being a great real estate professional starts with being a great neighbor. For over 25 years, he has been an active participant in the communities he serves, supporting local organizations, sponsoring youth athletics, and investing in the people and places that make the Bay Area a special place to live.

Los Altos High School Athletics

Ed Graziani is a longtime supporter of student athletics in the Los Altos community, where he has lived and raised his family for decades. He currently sponsors the Cal-Hi Sports Report for the local area, a publication that covers high school sports across California and provides recognition for student-athletes who might otherwise go unnoticed outside their school communities.

For Ed, sponsoring youth athletics is personal. As a sports parent with deep roots in the Los Altos school system, he has watched firsthand how competitive athletics shape discipline, teamwork, and confidence in young people. His sponsorship helps fund coverage of local programs at Los Altos High School and surrounding schools in the Mountain View-Los Altos Union High School District, ensuring that achievements in cross-country, swimming, volleyball, basketball, and track and field receive the visibility they deserve.

Ed’s involvement extends beyond financial support. He regularly attends games and events, and his presence on the sidelines reflects a broader commitment to the community institutions that make Los Altos one of the most family-oriented cities in Silicon Valley.

Sereno 1% For Good

As a Realtor with Sereno, Ed participates in the brokerage’s signature charitable initiative: the 1% For Good Charitable Foundation. Through this program, a portion of every real estate transaction Ed closes is directed to local nonprofit organizations working to create positive change across Silicon Valley and the broader Bay Area.

Since its founding, the 1% For Good Foundation has generated over $3.8 million in charitable donations benefiting 246 local organizations spanning Santa Clara County, San Mateo County, Santa Cruz County, and the East Bay. The foundation supports causes ranging from affordable housing and food security to education, environmental conservation, and youth development.

For Ed, the program aligns his professional work with his personal values. Every home sale or purchase becomes an opportunity to reinvest in the community. Clients who work with Ed are not just getting an experienced Realtor with over 25 years of market expertise in Los Altos and surrounding cities. They are also contributing to a model of real estate that prioritizes community impact alongside client results.

CarePoint Cancer Research

Ed is a supporter of CarePoint, a Bay Area nonprofit that provides critical resources, financial assistance, and emotional support to individuals and families affected by cancer. CarePoint operates at the intersection of medical care and community support, helping patients navigate the financial and logistical burdens that accompany a cancer diagnosis.

The organization’s programs include emergency financial assistance for treatment-related costs, transportation to medical appointments, support groups, and connections to local resources that help patients and their families maintain stability during treatment. CarePoint serves communities throughout the San Francisco Bay Area, including Silicon Valley, the Peninsula, and surrounding counties.

Ed’s support for CarePoint reflects his understanding that strong communities are built not just through real estate transactions but through the networks of care and support that exist between neighbors. Cancer touches families in every neighborhood Ed serves, from Los Altos to Palo Alto to Saratoga, and organizations like CarePoint ensure that no one faces that challenge alone.

Breakthrough T1D (JDRF)

Ed contributes to Breakthrough T1D, formerly known as the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF). Breakthrough T1D is the world’s leading organization funding research into the prevention, treatment, and eventual cure of type 1 diabetes, a chronic autoimmune condition that affects millions of people worldwide, including children and adults in communities across the Bay Area.

The organization invests in cutting-edge research including beta cell replacement therapies, glucose monitoring technologies, and immune system interventions that aim to fundamentally change the trajectory of the disease. Breakthrough T1D also advocates at the federal and state level for policies that protect access to insulin and diabetes management technologies.

Ed’s involvement with Breakthrough T1D is part of his broader commitment to health-focused causes that impact families in the communities where he lives and works. Type 1 diabetes is often diagnosed in childhood, and the families Ed works with in Los Altos, Palo Alto, Mountain View, and throughout Silicon Valley are directly affected by the research and advocacy that Breakthrough T1D supports.

Boys & Girls Clubs of America

Ed supports the Boys & Girls Clubs of America, one of the nation’s largest youth development organizations. Boys & Girls Clubs provide after-school and summer programs, mentorship, academic support, and safe spaces for young people in communities across the country, including chapters serving families throughout the Bay Area and Santa Clara County.

The organization’s programs focus on academic success, healthy lifestyles, good character, and citizenship. Locally, Boys & Girls Clubs in the Bay Area serve thousands of young people annually, offering homework help, STEM education, arts programming, sports leagues, and leadership development opportunities. For many families, particularly those in underserved communities, the Club is the primary source of structured out-of-school time programming for their children.

Ed’s support for Boys & Girls Clubs connects to his belief that the strength of a community is measured by the opportunities it creates for its youngest members. As a real estate professional who helps families find homes in Silicon Valley’s top school districts, Ed understands that education and youth development extend far beyond the classroom. Organizations like Boys & Girls Clubs fill a critical gap, and Ed is proud to contribute to their mission.
